The U.S. Energy Secretary says South Carolina is leading the nation in developing new and nuclear energy. Chu, with Senator Lindsey Graham as a tourguide, attended a groundbreaking of a biomass plant at the Savannah River Site, toured the GE gas turbine plant in Greenville, and conferred with scientists at Clemson’s ICAR facilities near Greenville.
