Barrett says his conservative record was distorted (AUDIO)

GOP gubernatorial hopeful Gresham Barrett says his ultra-conservative voting record was distorted in the primary race. He says his congressional record is there for everyone to see and he stands behind it.

Barrett faces Nikki Haley in Tuesday’s runoff for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.

Barrett encourages everyone to vote in Tuesday’s Republican runoff.

Voter ID issue to return to General Assembly (AUDIO)

Last week the South Carolina Senate was stalled by a marathon filibuster over a bill to require photo identification, among other changes to the voting process, beginning in 2012. The filibuster caused lawmakers to try to resurrect the Senate version of the measure.   When the legislature returns at the end of the month,  the issue may return as well.
