Upstate woman who said she was sexually assaulted now charged

A Spartanburg County woman who said she was sexually assaulted by a bearded man yelling that his baby was hurt now faces a charge of filing a false police report of a felony. Kristina Marie Wilcox said a bearded man tried to assault her early Tuesday morning and stabbed her with a device like a box cutter.

Now investigators say she was attacked not by a stranger but by her boyfriend, Jaime Christopher O’Neill, at their home. O’Neill is charged with criminal domestic violence.

Deputies say the woman was suffering from multiple stab wounds on her upper body and was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Authorities set us a perimeter to catch the attacker but located no one.
