Graham to face Charleston Tea Party members

Senator Lindsey Graham is set to visit North Charleston Wednesday to discuss his positions and votes on Tea Party issues. A core group of Tea Party activists are upset with Graham for reaching across party lines on immigration and energy reform. Joanne Owens with the Charleston Tea Party says they were asked a few months back about posing questions to the senator concerning some of these issues.

Several of us were at a breakfast that he spoke at back in April at Aunt B’s in North Charleston, and he expressed interest in coming to Tea Party people. We’ve been working very hard for the past couple of months to make this happen. They gave a call last week and had announced that Lindsey was going to be in town and they had already secured a venue.

The event will take place at North Charleston City Hall.

There’s limited space. You have to send an email request into graham@charlestonteaparty.org. We may or may not be filled at this point, but there will be a wait list. So, as you send your email in, you’ll at least be put on the wait list, you go in the order in which you responded. We wish is could be a bigger venue, but that’s not what we have.

The Charleston County GOP voted to censure Graham for his positions last fall.
