Two state law enforcement agencies are now involved in the investigation into The Citadel for not contacting police soon enough for a school camp counselor sexual misconduct case. Former Citadel camp counselor Louis “Skip” Reville is charged with five counts of sexual misconduct.
In 2007, a young teen said Reville watched porn with him and then committed a sex act. However, now that the more than four-year-old information was revealed, police are investigating the school for not reporting the crimes.
Charleston police have asked SLED to help in the investigation of the Citadel for its failure to give police known information about the molestation. The school has asked Attorney General Alan Wilson to help investigate the situation. Last week, Citadel President John Rosa said the military academy should have done more.
