Construction is now underway for a new Greenville VA Outpatient Clinic, a $30 million, 77,000 square foot facility near the Greenville Memorial hospital.
A groundbreaking was held Monday with Upstate dignitaries and U.S. senator Lindsey Graham.
“Over 100,000 veterans a year are going to anticipate to be served by this clinic. The place we got is outdated, this is going to be state of the art,” says Graham. “This is going to offer the best outpatient health care anywhere in the United States and it’s going to be associated by the hospital and the medical schools which will provide Medicare to our veterans.”
The new VA clinic is scheduled to open in 201 and will offer more than the clinic it replaces on Augusta Rd.
It will have more parking, more staff and will provide additional specialty care for veterans.
