For now, the Coast Guard in Charleston has suspended the search for a Mount Pleasant man who has not been seen since Monday afternoon.
36-year-old Ronald Fowler set out on his boat Monday afternoon, but never returned, his girlfriend told police. The Coast Guard has reported that Fowler’s 17-foot-skiff was found capsized Tuesday about 16 miles offshore from Charleston. The Coast Guard says it has covered more than 7,300 square miles of water and shoreline searching for Fowler.
It is not known when or if the search for the missing man will resume.
