The heat continues Friday afternoon for the Palmetto State as highs will top in the mid 80s for the Upstate to the upper 80s for the Midlands and Lowcountry under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. There will be a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms as well. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.
