State GOP Chairman Chad Connelly sent a video message to his party and the public, responding to a second SC Supreme Court ruling that disqualified more June 12 primary election candidates. In that case, the court said Florence GOP certified ineligible candidates despite a previous court order. The court issued a stern warning that other counties should comply or risk legal action. Other county parties have, including the Oconee County GOP cancelling its primary altogether.
Connelly’s message, “My entire party leadership and I are just as frustrated, disgusted, and anguished about all this as you.” He also says, “We will get through this.”
