Mostly cloudy skies for the Palmetto State with highs running in the mid 80s for the Upstate to the upper 80s to around 90 for the midlands and the Lowcountry. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms will be in the Upstate, with still a good chance for showers and thunderstorms for the Midlands and Lowcountry.
There is a slight risk this afternoon and early evening for severe thunderstorms across southern South Carolina. Several of these storms could become severe and capable of producing damaging wind gusts.
Storms will also be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall and frequent lighting strikes. There is also a slight risk for severe thunderstorms for much of the Midlands and Upstate for this afternoon and early evening.
Overnight lows in the upper 60s to low and mid 70s.
