Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies for the Palmetto State Wednesday. There’s a slight chance for a shower and thunderstorm for both the Midlands and Lowcountry. Highs will top in the upper 80s to low 90s.
As a cold front approaches from the west this afternoon, there is the potential for some of these thunderstorms to become strong to severe, from the Upstate to the Lowcountry this afternoon and evening. The main threat will be damaging winds and large hail.
Overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s for the Upstate and Midlands to the mid 70s for the Lowcountry.
