New allegations of sexual misconduct surface at The Citadel

In the wake of the Skip Reville sex abuse cases that occurred during an early 2000 summer camp at the Citadel, the miliary school is now reporting that new allegations of sexual misconduct have surfaced. The Citadel’s Office of External Affairs reports that two cadets reported these latest allegations last week. The first incident allegedly happened in the spring of 2010 shortly after the school’s recognition day. The victim says he was studying with the suspect when unwanted sexual advances were made. In the other case, in February 2011, the victim reported to the Citadel’s public safety officers that he was assaulted on three different occasions by the same suspect. The accused suspect in the reported incidents is said to have graduated from the Citadel in 2011. No arrests have been made in the alleged incidents and the victims do not wish to pursue the cases any further. They filed their complaints with the school as a matter of record. The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is also reportedly looking into the alleged incidents.
