Mostly cloudy skies for the Palmetto State for your Tuesday with a good chance for showers and possible thunderstorms for the entire state. Highs will top in the mid 70s for the Upstate to the low to upper 80s for the Midlands to the Lowcountry. Evening showers will be around as well, with overnight lows in the upper 50s for the Upstate to the mid upper 60s for the Midlands and the Lowcountry.
Update for the Upstate: (7:30 am)
As a cold front moves slowly into the Upstate today, expect showers and thunderstorms to develop ahead of the front with some thunderstorms possibly becoming strong to severe. Rain may be heavy at times and can cause local isolated flooding. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be possible with some of these thunderstorms. The thunderstorm threat will diminish in the evening hours.
