State Fair “Speed” ride, “like nothing I’ve ever been on!” (VIDEO)

A peanut butter banana bacon burger, an extreme speed ride new to North America, and sea lions. It’s a great day in South Carolina for State Fair fans looking for something new.

The new ride that’s creating a lot of buzz is called “Speed.” The ride hurls people 125 feet high and spins them around like a helicopter propeller.

Fair-goer Chisa Jamison explained her experience after she rode “Speed.”

“How was the ride? It was not like anything I’ve ever been on,” she said. “When it was going up and then the thing started going upside down and you were going fast.  It was just weird. It was a weird feeling, but it was fun though.”

Animals are always a big hit. This year, people can see sea lions at the event called “The Sea Lion Splash.”

Stefi Slavova with the sea lions

Stefi Slavova is one of the sea lion trainers. She said the show is meant to be fun but also is meant to inform.

“We actually like to call it an educational show with a splash. It makes it a lot of fun for the kids and we try to get that signal out there for recycling and to let people know the difference between seals and sea lions,” says Slavova.

The State Fair runs until October 21.
