Saturday, May 14 is the last day to register if you wish to vote in the June 14 primaries.
State election officials say they have seen record voter registration this year, saying last week the number has surpassed 3 million registered voters.
The number has been boosted by registration online. More than three-quarters of the state’s voting age population is registered to vote, compared with just over half of voters in 1990.
Ways to register include by going to scvotes.org — which requires a state-issued ID — and by visiting your county voter registration office. You also can download a voter registration form from scvotes.org and return it to your county voter registration office by mail, fax or email attachment.
All have to be postmarked or received by May 14.
