Sen. Lindsey Graham said he wants to win the war against radical Islamic terrorists and that both parties’ presumptive presidential nominees aren’t prepared to do that.
According to the Post and Courier, the Republican said he is disappointed, but not surprised, by responses from Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton in the immediate aftermath of the deadly shooting at a night club in Orlando Sunday morning.
Gunman Omar Mateen, who killed 49 and wounded more than 50, was a sympathizer of the Islamic State .
Graham said that Trump’s suggestion that the president doesn’t love his country or that he knew about the shooting ahead of time and did nothing to stop it is “beyond out of line.”
Graham said Clinton doesn’t understand what it takes to win the war.
