Three people died in a medical helicopter crash Friday night on the coast, and investigators are now searching for anyone that can talk with them about what they saw when the helicopter crashed.
The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports that National Safety Board spokesman Peter Knudson says federal investigators want to determine specifics in the crash, so they hope to find these witnesses to speak with.
The deceased include: pilot, 45-year-old Patrick Walters, 42-year-old nurse Dianna Connor, and 39-year-old medic Randolph Dove. The three were members of the Carolina Lifecrew that delivered a patient to a hospital in Charleston and were returning to Conway when the helicopter went down in the woods near Georgetown.
No indications of equipment malfunction was apparent as of Sunday.
