As three candidates run for the seat to replace gubernatorial candidate Henry McMaster as attorney general, Leighton Lord says he has what it takes. He says his experience qualifies him to be South Carolina’s next top prosecutor:
Attorney General is the office where I think I can make the most difference in our state. I’ve got experience working with law enforcement, I have experience running one of the largest law firms in the state. I also have experience getting things done. I represented Boeing and their recent move to South Carolina.
Lord says he’s been told the next attorney general will be given less money from the General Assembly. He says if that’s the case, he’s the best many to protect the tax payers, as he says he has proven he can do more with less.
Also running for attorney general are Alan Wilson and Robert Bolchoz.
