BMW Manufacturing announced Thursday that it will hire 500 new employees in the next few months to get ready for production of the next generation BMW X3. The positions will be full-time, production jobs with benefits. BMW spokesman Bobby Hitt:
When we get finished with hiring these 500 we will be over 6,000 people on site. We’ll see how it goes from there and see how the economy goes, and we will continue to adjust the workforce.
Job fairs will be held in the coming weeks to fill the positions.
