U.S. Senator Jim DeMint continued his August recess tour of South Carolina with a visit in Greenville Wednesday. DeMint spoke to business leaders about improving the ailing U.S. economy.
In America it all begins with successful businesses. That’s where jobs are created, where tax revenues come from. But we need to remind President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, that the federal government did not make this country great. It was the people and those principles of freedom that include free-market capitalism.
DeMint was the guest speaker today at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Poinsett Club. The incumbent Republican faces Democrat Alvin Greene and Green Party candidate Tom Clements in the November election.
