The Greenville county sheriffs office has charged Christopher Roberts of Greenville on two counts of Breach of Trust. Investigators say that between May of 2009 and July of this year Roberts, the chairman of the board for the Chanticleer Community Commission and a Greenville lawyer, cashed checks totaling more than $45,000 written to himself from a bank account belonging to the commission. Master deputy Sam Cureton:
Board members of the community commission of Chanticleer community realize that after there were several of the contracts of that community not being paid. Then, the board members went through that local bank and they identified where robbers signed his name to several checks.
Roberts is currently in the Greenville county detention center.
