An investigation continues this week on the firing of a veteran officer with the Folly Beach Public Safety Department. Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the firing of sergeant Brian Kale. Allegations against Kale said he sent inappropriate texts and images to women he met on the job. Folly Beach Public Safety Chief Terry Boatwright couldn’t say much.
All I can tell you at this point and time is that Brian Kale was an employee of the Folly Beach Public Safety Department for approximately 11 and a half years. As of Tuesday, October 5, his employment with this department was terminated. This is an internal personnel issue.
Boatwright says he cannot comment any further than that. He did not confirm the allegations concerning the texts. The investigation continues.
