The two little girls who were missing from Pickens County have been found in Ohio. As the Pickens County Sheriff’s deputies suspected, they were with the mother and grandmother.
Alexis and Kynadi Manley were found this afternoon after a Bazetta, Ohio police officer stopped the vehicle Keyley Wade and Belinda Wade were traveling in with the children. Pickens County Lt. J.B Kelley says,
The Bazetta, Ohio Police Department spotted the vehicle in a Wal-Mart parking lot and approached the vehicle. And pom approaching the vehicle, they located the mother and grandmother in the car with the two children. We made arrangements through the local Anderson DSS and the Ohio Family Services to take the two children into custody.
The woman who falsely reported an abduction –and set off a statewide amber alert— faced charges in court today. Her bond was set at $16,000.
Lisa Jordan is charged with four counts of filing a false police report about the two kidnappings, burglary of her home and the theft of her car. Though the report was a hoax, the sheriff’s department was still uncertain about the whereabouts of the children.
The little girls seem to be in good condition, says Lt. J.B. Kelley of the Pickens County Sheriff’s office.Their mission now is to get the children safely back to the state, says Kelley.
