Spartanburg Deputies responded to a report of a stabbing on Monday and Steven Thomas Rogers, age 24 was found to have non-life threatening stab wounds. Rogers was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be released later Tuesday.
Spokesman for the Spartanburg Sheriff’s Department, Tony Ivey said that investigators began to interview all the parties involved saying as a result of thier investigation they determined Rogers’ injuries were a result of a defensive tactic by the female victim in this to prevent him from further attacking her.
He had physically assaulted her throughout the evening and she was finally able to arm herself with a knife to be able to defend herself against him.
Rogers has been charged with Criminal Domestic Violence 2nd Offense.
