Congressman Joe Wilson will be at the White House Wednesday morning to launch a nationwide call that will focus on veterans and their families.
Congressman Wilson is meeting with first lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden, wife of the vice president in a program to step up support for military families. Congressman Wilson is the Chairman for the Subcommittee on Military Personnel. The new campaign is set to begin April 12th and will focus on employment, education, wellness, and public awareness for US service members and their families.
As part of Mrs. Obama’s military activities, the First Lady visited Columbia’s Fort Jackson in January to bring her message about childhood obesity and exercise programs, and spoke at the 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry’s graduation ceremony.
