A Sumter man found dead over the weekend has been identified.
The body of 26-year-old Darrell Epps was found around 1:30 p.m. Sunday at a mobile home park in Sumter County. The Sumter County Sheriffs Department said a resident of Gems Mobile Home Park found the body. Once officers arrived, Epps’s body was found between two vacant mobile homes. A preliminary autopsy report indicates that Darrell Epps died from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Investigators were also at a second crime scene on North Lake Cherryvale Drive where a burnt vehicle was discovered and confirmed to belong to Epps.
