Amy’s Kitchen, the nation’s leading maker of natural and organic convenience foods, will open a new production facility in Greenville. The $63 million investment is expected to generate more than 700 jobs over the next five to six years. Mark Rudolph is the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
We’re delighted to be here. We were extremely impressed with this community–just the foresight, the vision, that people had years and years ago to turn this into such a wonderful community.
According to Rudolph, the company has reached the $300 million revenue mark, and distributes 240 products nationwide as well as in other countries.
On hand for the announcement was Governor Nikki Haley.
Andy and Rachel Berliner are amazing people. It is a family-owned business. But what I love is this is a good-quality business. And last year alone, they had $300 million in sales.
The company will move into the former Sara Lee plant off I-85. They hope to begin operations by January 1. Amy’s Kitchen will begin hiring for positions this summer. For more information you can go to their website.
