Daniel Defense Inc. will establish its new manufacturing facility in Jasper County, investing $5.3 million to generate 100 new jobs. It is the firearms company’s first South Carolina facility, using 90,000 square feet of pre-existing space in Ridgeland.
The company expects to have the facility in operation by December 1, 2011.
Gov. Nikki Haley says landing this company demonstrates her administration’s commitment to rural areas.
“South Carolina continues to show itself as an extremely competitive for companies looking to set up new operations, “said Bobby Hitt, Secretary of Commerce in a press release.
