Rev. Jesse Jackson was joined by members of the Greenville Rainbow Push Coalition today to voice there concerns on the state’s new voter ID law. Jackson said they have asked the Department of Justice to intervene.
“Make sure that all people–seniors, students, black, white and brown–regardless of party have easy access to voting. Don’t make it difficult, don’t make it restrictive and don’t make it costly. We must end this new scheme with voting restrictions,” says Jackson.
Jackson spoke to the media over the noon hour Monday at the West End Community Development Center in Greenville.
