The man who led South Carolina’s independent auditing agency has died. He was 54.
“If ever a job was made for one person, this job was for Tom Bardin,” Phillip Lauthridge, LAC Chairman said in a statement, “He developed a knowledge of state government that will remain unmatched for years to come. His professional passion was protecting the interests of the citizens of South Carolina and ensuring that government agencies were functioning on their behalf. Tom will be sorely missed.”
