KP Components announced today that they will open a new facility in Pickens County and plan to hire just over 50 workers over the next five years. The company, which produces hydraulic components, will locate in Easley in an existing building on Pelzer highway.
CEO Stig Laursen said today, “Our focus is to keep investing in the best possible technology of the day within CNC (computer numerical control) machining, robotics and advanced tooling. The investment of KP Components here in South Carolina is our first investment abroad. Before coming to South Carolina, we have been looking at sites located in Poland and locations also in Kansas.”
The company’s products are used in farm equipment, heavy equipment and wind power turbines. KP Components will begin hiring later this fall and plans to be up and running in January.
