Company officials says there is a significantly accelerating demand for carbon fiber structures used in aerospace, automotive and the defense industries. Landing Carbures is part of a new strategy for the Upstate aviation production center, says SC TAC President and CEO at SCTAC Jody Bryson.

Construction on the 40, 000-square-foot facility will begin shortly, and Carbures plans to have the facility online in the second quarter of 2012.
