Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich stopped by our studios today and answered questions about his new 27-page “21st Century Contract with America” — a proposal he calls an “adult document.”
How does that differ from his original Contract with America?
“It differs only in being more comprehensive, more decisive, because we are in more trouble. We’re in much more trouble in 2011 than we were in 1994. And so I think we need a much deeper, more powerful contract in order to solve the problems,” says Gingrich.

Gingrich says that he will be laying out the details of his plan, the “21st Century Contract with America” and he expects that to take up to six months. He wants it to become the base for a party platform and then his central campaign message upon nomination, he says confidently.
