NK Newlook announced it will build a new facility in Barnwell County that will create 212 new jobs. The company specializes in store fixtures and retail interior manufacturing. The new $5 million investment will design and produce display cases and retail store fixtures. The Barnwell facility will be located at the old Allied Air building in Blackvillle.
The company said it chose South Carolina mostly because of its workforce training programs. The Commerce Department says the manufacturing sector has created more than 8,000 new jobs and more than $2.9 billion in capital investment so far this year. The Commerce Department gave NK Newlook a $200,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund grant. Hiring will begin in November.
