16th Circuit Solicitor Kevin Brackett says no charges will be filed in connection with alleged hazing involving members of the Clover High School Football Team.
Brackett says the September 19th incident was “a bunch of locker room horseplay” and he says the supposed victim was just having what he thought was a good time.
York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant agrees the supposed victim considered it all in fun.
“Laughing when he left the locker room. This kid wasn’t left in the locker room crying from being beat up, assaulted, or anything else. He was the instigator to start with, and not only that, he continued his laughing about it, not only to students but maybe even to a faculty member,” says Bryant.
Brackett and Clover School District Superintendent Marc Sosne says parents can be assured that their children are safe at the high school.
