Bosch Rexroth Corporation announced Monday it will expand its operations in Greenville County, creating 160 new jobs in the next five years. Bosch Rexroth specializes in driving and hydraulic control technology for vehicles. The company’s latest $80 million investment in Greenville will become its primary facility for mobile hydraulics–as well as the industry’s largest manufacturing facility in the Americas. The company will add to its existing Fountain Inn operations with a new building and land. Mike McCormick is Vice President and Plant Manager and says the extra land will allow for future growth.
“After 23 years on this location and already four major expansions–today we are announcing our biggest expansion in the history of Bosch Rexroth, United States. After several renovations we will begin to fill this building with tens of millions of dollars of machinery, but more importantly hundreds of South Carolina’s most talented citizens,” says McCormick.
Right now Bosch Rexroth manufactures hydraulic pumps and motors used in construction, agriculture, mining, material handling and oil and gas exploration. The expansion will help boost production and allow them to manufacture different types of hydraulic pumps and motors.
