South Carolina Congressman Tim Scott has yet to pull the trigger on an endorsement of a GOP candidate for president, but says one may be forthcoming in a few days.
Scott will attend a forum featuring the candidates at the College of Charleston Saturday at noon. The two-hour forum will be hosted by 2008 GOP presidential candidate and current Fox News commentator Mike Huckabee. Candidates will be fielding questions from undecided voters during the forum.
In an interview with Greenwood affiliate WLMA, Scott says how well the candidates handle themselves during the forum will go a long way toward helping him make a decision on which he will support.
Scott says the Republican Party needs a presidential candidate who is a visionary. The freshman congressman says he is looking for a man of character who is highly competent, has conservative values, who is a man of faith.
