“Telling Republicans to compromise with Democrats is like a coach telling the team to go out and work with those other guys. They’ve got an opposite goal and they are there to beat us.”
That is the message Jim DeMint delivered Sunday afternoon to open the state’s first Tea Party convention. He talked about how conservative activists have changed the party and told them it is now time to rally behind the GOP’s choice of candidate.
DeMint will not endorse a candidate and says he is focusing on the Senate becoming more conservative. His message is that there should not be bipartisan compromise on Capitol hill.
