At least two tornadoes struck South Carolina Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters confirmed an EF-2 tornado touched down near the Aiken-Lexington County line around 1 p.m. Friday. A second EF-0 storm was reported roughly an hour later near the town of Pinewood in Sumter County. No one was seriously hurt, but some damage was reported in both cases.
An unconfirmed tornado may have also hit Colleton County west of Walterboro around 5:30 p.m. Local officials say an abandoned building was destroyed near the Islandton community.
The EF-2 touched down near the junction of S.C. 113 and Cline Taylor Road about 5 miles north of Wagener. At least 3,300 customers of SCE&G and Aiken Electric Cooperative lost power Friday afternoon.
A tree also fell on a mobile classroom at Hammond Hill Elementary School in North Augusta, according to the Aiken Standard. However, that was due to strong winds, rather than a tornado.
