An F-16 combat fighter wing stationed at Shaw Air Force Base is getting a new commander.
An Air Force spokeswoman says Col. Clay Hall is taking command of the 20th Fighter Wing Monday.
The unit is the largest F-16 combat fighter wing in the Air Force.
It’s comprised of 19 squadrons and about 80 aircraft.
The 20th Fighter Wing also has more than 6,000 military and 1,000 civilian personnel.
Hall was formerly an operations group commander at an air base in Afghanistan.
Hall takes over for Col. Charlie Moore, who will next command an air wing in Nevada.
