Investigators say a body found in the Stono River near Charleston Sunday night is that of a man who had been missing for over two weeks.
54-year-old Charles Fernell was last seen by his son on May 16th near the St. John’s Yacht Club. On Sunday evening, Fernell’s body was found in the Stono River betwen the SC 700 bridge and the Sol Legare Boat Landing.
Fernell lived on his boat on the river and worked at the St. John’s marina.
