U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is calling for an investigation into leaks of information to the media about anti-terrorist drone activity. The New York Times has reported information that he and other members of Congress from both parties insist should be top-secret, revealing the decision-making and people behind successful attacks against Osama Bin Laden’s network.
He told Fox News on Thursday that he thinks the leaks have been intentional :”You can boast about getting Bin Laden, you can say that the drone attacks have been successful and I would say yes, you are right…but these three stories paint a picture of a strong national security president to the detriment of our national security programs.
Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, says he wants a bipartisan investigation into the leaks. “How did these stories get out of the White House? This is a blow-by-blow description of what went on in the situation room. These are very detailed stories and the guy is writing a book about how we target people for drone attacks,” said Graham.
