Today we will see a few showers and possible thunderstorms for the Upstate in the morning , which will move into the Midlands and the Lowcountry by the afternoon and evening hours. Mostly cloudy skies will allow highs to top in the mid 70s for the Upstate to the upper 70s and low 80s for the Midlands and the Lowcountry. A few evening Lowcountry showers are possible followed by partly cloudy skies and mid 40s for the Upstate to the low to mid 50s for the Midlands and the Lowcountry.
Update at 8am:
With the advancement of a cold front from the west this afternoon, there is a slight risk for severe weather in the Midlands and the Lowcountry for this afternoon and evening. The main threat will be damaging winds. The risk of large hail may be possible as well. Look for clearing skies overnight.
