Greenville’s BI-LO Center will soon look different and have a new name. BI-LO Center President and GM Roger Newton told WYFF-TV when the performance venue was first constructed, most of the money went into the building itself. And when funds started to run low, plans for the bathrooms and other parts of the venue were cut. Now $14.5 million has been allocated by the county and city to bring the center up to date
The first changes will take place in the arena. Those improvements are scheduled for completion by late October. Following those changes will come improvements to the box office, concourse and bathrooms.
Also BI-LO’s naming rights for the center end in September.
