A former police officer in the tiny Horry County town of Aynor was arrested Thursday, after he was accused of telling a woman that he would dismiss a traffic ticket if she would flash him.
A warrant from the State Law Enforcement Division states 34-year-old Bradley Jordan was charged with misconduct in office Thursday. That is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine. The warrant states Jordan offered “to dismiss a traffic citation if the defender would pull up her shirt for him.”
Jordan was fired Wednesday after an investigation by SLED.
Aynor Police Chief David Thompson issued a statement that department officials received a complaint regarding Jordan on May 2. He was quickly he was placed on administrative leave with pay pending an internal investigation. Thompson said the department turned the case over to SLED a day later.
