Vice President Joe Biden says he is impressed with the Port of Charleston’s growth and is eager to drum up more international shipping. He warned that infrastructure is critical to make that work.
Biden toured the Port of Charleston and spoke to dignitaries and press Monday at the port’s Columbus Terminals.
Biden said it is important that the U.S. remains the world’s leading maritime power:

Biden headed next to the nearby Port of Georgia in Savannah to address the prospect of port deepening there.
