Spartanburg County authorities say another $6,000 has been raised for the reward to help solve a case of two people who were murdered in a car last year.
During a news conference Monday, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said the reward, which was $2,000, is now $8,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever murdered Anna Leigh Huckeba and Randy Dean Cochran.
Both were found shot to death in a vehicle on Blanchard Road in Spartanburg County early on the morning of June 23, 2012.
“How in the world can you sit around and think that’s ok not to tell somebody?” Wright said. “If it was your brother, or your daughter, or your sister, you would want somebody to come forward and tell.”
The money for the reward comes from the victim’s families and additional money offered by Crime Stoppers.
The reward is only available through January 1.
