A North Carolina man has died in an accident at a Gaffney warehouse.
The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office said the accident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday at the ADS Logistics Services plant in Gaffney. The Coroner’s Office said 24-year-old Kenneth Clary of Kings Mountain, N.C., was on a lift about 30 feet off the ground removing shoes from shelves when his lift was hit by another lift.
Coroner Dennis Fowler says Clary suffered head injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the second lift was not hurt. Fowler said he has ordered an autopsy.
The death is also being investigated by the state office of Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
